Nothing: with Basis, your profile and messages are free for good. The Premium membership (€15/month) is optional, gives you more visibility, and can be cancelled monthly.
The minimum age for registration is 16. For minors, the German Youth Employment Protection Act (JArbSchG) applies: babysitting is allowed with parental consent for up to 2 hours a day (between 8am and 6pm).
You set your hourly rate when creating your profile and can adjust it at any time. Consider the age and number of children, your tasks, your experience, and the usual level in your region.
Once your profile is live, you can respond to requests near you, and families can contact you directly. How fast it happens depends on your region and demand; a complete profile with a photo noticeably helps.
Formal training is not a requirement. Experience with children helps, whether from your family, a club, or your job. We highlight professional qualifications such as educator or childcare professional in your profile.
